I Can't Wait for...The Woman in the Window by A. J. Finn

Can't Wait-Wednesday is a weekly meme to spotlight and discuss the books we're excited about that we have yet to read and is hosted by Wishful Endings.

Anna Fox lives alone—a recluse in her New York City home, unable to venture outside. She spends her day drinking wine (maybe too much), watching old movies, recalling happier times . . . and spying on her neighbors.

Then the Russells move into the house across the way: a father, a mother, their teenage son. The perfect family. But when Anna, gazing out her window one night, sees something she shouldn’t, her world begins to crumble—and its shocking secrets are laid bare.

What is real? What is imagined? Who is in danger? Who is in control? In this diabolically gripping thriller, no one—and nothing—is what it seems.

Money is tight right now so anything that I read has to be from the library. Unfortunately I am number 140 in the hold queue for a hard copy and number 58 in Overdrive for the ebook. My library allows books to be checked out for three weeks so....

I can't do the math. What I do know is I'll have the money to buy it by then. But maybe I can catch it in my library's 7 day Express section.

  1. I just read this book a couple weeks ago and really liked it. It had a nice dark, kinda noir feel to it- good stuff. Hope you enjoy when you get to it. :)

  2. This one is on my TBR list too! Looking forward to reading it. Hope we both enjoy it!

  3. Ah, I hope you enjoy this! I read it awhile ago and it's not entirely my cup of tea.

  4. This sounds exciting - Added to my list! I hope you enjoy it :D

    Here's my Wednesday post!

  5. I have this in my cart and I am so close to buying it. But, I stop myself because I just have so many on the burner right now. I hope you get a chance to read it!

  6. I read this recently too. Will talk about it next Monday. Definitely a book with twists. And lots of Hitchcock vibes. Hope everyone reads fast and you can get it before too long. I understand about long library hold lists. :-)

  7. I've heard about lots of long waits for this one. I have a friend who didn't enjoy it so I didn't even put myself on the list. However, I hope you get it sooner rather than later and that you love it!
